The sponge is a flat circular disc, which helps even out the application and absorbs most of the product leaving your face with just enough quantity required.

While you have many options to top it up with highlighter or mineralizer, don't use too much of the studio fix powder. Studio fix applied over blush will make the face look cakey so definitely avoid that even if your cheeks have become too pink.
